Meet Our Team

Dr. Peter McIntyre completed his Bachelor of Arts in biology in 1979 and his Bachelor of Science in hygiene in 1981. He then attended the University of Colorado Health Science Center for dental school, graduating in 1986. He is committed to continuing his dental education, regularly advancing his training and knowledge through hands-on courses in airway treatments, orthodontics, implant dentistry, general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry, including special training in occlusion studies through the Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education and implant seminars, as well as training in BOTOX®, dermal fillers and microneedling. In fact, Dr. McIntyre completes over 100 hours of continued training each year! Drs. Tom Basta, Armen Mirzayan, Arun Garg and Tom Hebda were great mentors to him in his dental education and training

Dr. McIntyre is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association®, the Colorado Dental Association and the Colorado Springs Dental Society. He has received a number of awards, including the President’s Award from The Arc and multiple years as a Colorado Springs Top Dentist. He has practiced in the Colorado Springs area since 1975, when he began providing respiratory therapy at St. Francis Hospital, and began practicing dentistry in the area following his graduation from dental school in 1986. As a dentist, he is committed to making a difference in people’s lives.

Dr. McIntyre and his lovely wife have six children and eight grandchildren. Outside the office, his hobbies include hunting, fishing, photography and anything relating to biology.

Dr. Kyle S. Richardson, DDS, is a highly skilled and compassionate dentist dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to the Colorado Springs community. With his comprehensive education, advanced training, and commitment to continued learning, Dr. Richardson offers the latest in dental technologies and treatments to his patients.

Dr. Richardson’s journey began at Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, NE, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in May 2020. Prior to dental school, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Creighton University, graduating in May 2016. This educational background has equipped him with a solid foundation in dental science and a deep understanding of oral health.

As a lifelong learner, Dr. Richardson actively seeks opportunities to enhance his skills and knowledge through continuing education courses. He has a particular interest in emerging dental technologies and stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in general dentistry, prosthodontics, and dental implants. By staying at the forefront of dental innovations, Dr. Richardson ensures that his patients receive the most effective and efficient treatments available.

Dr. Richardson is an esteemed member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association (ADA), Colorado Dental Association, and Colorado Springs Dental Society. These memberships reflect his commitment to providing the highest standard of care and staying connected to the dental community.

Throughout his career, Dr. Richardson has earned a reputation for his dedication to excellence. While he has not received any specific awards or certifications at this time, his patients consistently praise his gentle chairside manner, attention to detail, and commitment to building strong relationships based on trust and respect.

Since graduating from dental school, Dr. Richardson has been proudly serving the Colorado Springs area, where he feels fortunate to contribute to the oral health and overall well-being of his patients. Denise joined the Briargate Advanced Family Dental family in October 2016, and enjoys being part of an amazing team that truly cares about the health and well-being of our patients. She loves being able to help patients from all over the state who are not able to receive care in a traditional office get the treatments they need in a hospital setting.

Denise is married with two adult daughters and a fur baby. Her hobbies including hiking, reading, visiting breweries and cheering for the Broncos.

Susan joined our team in April 2018 and enjoys being part of a team of caring and amazing women. She has over 15 years of experience in the dental field and brings a friendly attitude to work each day. Susan is a Colorado native and has three daughters and an energetic Labrador. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, camping, being outdoors, enjoying new restaurants, and spending time with her family and friends.

Alex joined our office in December 2022. She graduated from Pima Community College with her Dental Assistant Certification in 2017. She loves working at our office because everyone she works with has a family-like bond and cares a lot about our patients and the care we provide as a dental office. She enjoys making patients feel at home and helping them schedule the type of appointment they need. Alex is a proud mom of two small kids, and outside of work, she enjoys hiking, spending time with her family and visiting new places.

Amanda attended East Tennessee State University, graduating summa cum laude in 2013 with her Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene. She joined the Briargate Advanced Family Dental family in January 2017 and specializes in working with high anxiety, special needs and geriatric patients to help them receive care. She loves the diversity of our patient base and the comradery with her teammates, and she enjoys being the comedic relief in the office and putting a smile on people’s faces.

Amanda married her college sweetheart, Grant, and together they have a daughter, Harper, and two fur children, Captain and Jackson. Her hobbies include binge watching true-crime shows, taking her daughter to the park, and enjoying puzzles and word searches.

Jocelyn attended Portland Community College in Portland, Oregon, to earn her Associate of Science degree in dental hygiene in 1995. She later attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque to complete her Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature and Spanish literature in 2000. Jocelyn joined Briargate Advanced Family Dental in December 2018 and is dedicated to providing quality dental care and a comfortable dental experience to each patient she meets. She adds a little humor to the day for both our patients and our team, and she enjoys providing dental hygiene care to a diverse patient population.

Jocelyn is married, and her hobbies include gardening and quilting. Se habla español!

Nicolle received her associate degree in dental assisting from Pikes Peak Community College in May 2022. She started at our office in August 2022, and she loves our team, our patients and learning. Nicolle strives to provide the best possible care she can. In her free time, she likes to garden, bake and be with her dogs.

Ashley graduated from Remington College Dental Assisting program in 2012. She was born and raised in Houston, TX but has enjoyed traveling around the country with her husband and two cats, BoomBoom and Jade in their travel trailer until settling in Colorado Springs. Ashley loves roller coasters, skiing, hiking, reading, and spending time at her land in Hartsel CO.

Jacquelyn grew up in Washington state and moved to Colorado Springs last year with her boyfriend. She graduated from Clark College in Vancouver Washington where she received a Bachelors of Applied Science. Jacquelyn is loving Colorado and all of the outdoor activities it has to offer including hiking and skiing. When she has time, she especially enjoys doing pottery.

Taylor did on-site training for four years for dental assisting and began working at our office in 2022. She is also an esthetician. Taylor loves her coworkers, and she is always kind to her patients. She has a yellow lab named Bristol and in her free time, she enjoys reading and being in the sun.
